You probably have a parallel and serial port ... I've not done this in years, but you could run ppp over the serial, or preferably the parallel, if it's bi-directional. Having the right cable helps, too! Then she can connect to your server, and from there to the net. Of course, the laptop will only work when at home, and won't be connectable elsewhere ... -jim
