Until recently, when I was told that slower speeds create better "burns", I was using max speed on both Windows and Linux (X-CD-Roast) without a problem
(I believe that all of the RedHat 8 CD's I created for the InstallFest were OK) Regards, Robert -----Original Message----- From: Michael JasonSmith [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Wednesday, 28 May 2003 2:14 p.m. To: linux users Subject: CD Burning Experiences I'm having a discussion with someone, and I'd appreciate the lists opinion/rants on the matter. I'd like to know if anyone burns CDs at maximum speed (technically the maximum speed reported by the "-prcap" flag to "cdrecord"). Personally I don't, as I finds that it creates unreadable discs, no matter the quality of the medium. (I use Imation, if you care.) Is that others experience? -- Michael JasonSmith http://www.cosc.canterbury.ac.nz/~mpj17/
