It will still take time unless your not going to bother compiling Machine Specific
with O2 or O3
level optimisations. Also I take it your not going to recompile Mozilla or
Mozillafirebird or Openoffice
or to many Large QT apps with the C++ Precompling and all? So your doing Min
installs?
1 Desktop 1 web browser etc other wise a full system x 4or5 is going to take a while
even with that much horsepower.

And what are you all going to do while the Machines compile it's not going to take 1
min
or even 2 to recompile Mozilla let alone kde even with that many machines?
Remeber theres going to be a fair bit of overhead involved.
Only 1 or 2 people are needed to config a computer so your not all going to be doing
that.
Surely your not going to be so busy that you can't spend 10 mins configuring a XFree
Config file.
Rember it's Mandrake your'd be dealing with it's not like you have to write the entire
thing using vi.
And recompiling Gentoo for the Machine would take ALOT longer than fixing a Config
file even with all those Machines.
Any way Gentoo is simply not for a Newbie really It lacks the decent GUI config tools
that are needed.

By the way what times it on? I've got an exam in the morning but it would be
interesting to head along and have a look.
(If thats allowed of course ;-))
