He uses the "s-video" output from the graphics card and the movies play really clearly - not so great for the normal desktop though. He has an infrared remote device which plugs into the serial port and can be programmed to his liking so all of the actions he needs to operate the "entertainment centre" can be controlled from the remote. The sound card is 6 channel so the movies sound great too.
