No, what does <ntfsresize -n -s 22G /dev/hda1> say? The "-n" makes it
safe, dry run. You may need to increase size a few times.

It looks as though the error is towards the start of the HDD.
Do you have the means to reinstall XP? Is there any data/programs that
need to be preserved on the HDD? If the answers are yes and no, then
force ntfsresize. If everything falls over, reinstall XP and start again.
The results can go into the knowledge pool.
Anyone else got any ideas?
