depends what you are using it for .....I did my latest build straight on a
2.6 (a desktop machine) but on a server it isnt really worth the gamble as a
majority on improvements are towards the desktop latency side of things
....and bits and pieces may still be getting fixed .

Would you recommend starting with a 2.4 kernel & playing with a 2.6, or
going straight to 2.6.
I'm thinking a stable 2.4 would probably be a Good Thing.
