I installed Fedora a couple of days ago. Waste of time. Its buggy. I found an obvious bug within no time (the package info for vim-x11 had not been changed since the last redhat release, so it seems so. It tries to install /mnt/cdrom/Redhat...) . I reported it and still haven't got a reply, which is shocking when compared to debian.
Debian has bugs too, like KDE which hasn't been installable for at least two months (before the security breach). I would imagine that apt-get kde not working (in sid and sarge) could be considered a major bug. The package information pages on the web are also still down since the compromise was found (19 days ago), so Debian isn't necessarily any quicker at responding to bugs.
I prefer Gnome over KDE anyway, but it would be nice to have a choice.

p.s. this e-mail is not an attempt to start a distro/desktop flame war :)
