Sorry, this is my Windows file server with a BS email client
(Incredimail) on it, which HTML's everything, and I cant stop it, so I try
to keep posts to a minimum.
Debian (last time I played with it) did neat things like...
modprobe rtl8139
ifconfig eth0 192.168.1.1
I was shown this by an American IRCd operator, which help ever so
greatly... Might help you too?

driver disks are no good to me so it's either Redhat or following
