Being sent to list because I think that this still needs more discussion.

The attendances at the last three monthly meetings have been very small to say
the least. This suggested to me that we need to think about what we want out
of the CLUG. I put the idea that we need to have some discussions about
future direction for the CLUG in some reasonably comfortable surroudings and
suggested the above date for an AGM cum social gathering of the members.

Discussions on list were somewhat inconclusive about the desirability of
having such a meeting, but we came to the notion that we should have a social
get-together of some sort if not an AGM proper. Nick Rout said he would
explore the possibility of hireing the Indian restaurnt owned by his
secretary's extended family. afaik There has so far been no further report
about this excellent idea.

There was talk about an Installfest. I expressed the opinion that Linux more
or less installed itself these day. There were a number of dissenting
opinions. The suggestion came up that there was a need for a 'Giant Fix-up
Day' possibly combined with an Installfest. A suggestion was made that
mini-Installfests would be a good idea.
