In Perth the agencies were very good. Always got me work. I rewrote my CV in third person to make thier job easier and padded it out to about 15 pages. They could always find something in it to build just the right executive breif to get me work in government and private sector.
Here everyone just keeps telling me "make your CV 1 or 2 pages, no one wants to look at anymore than that!"... Now don't get me wrong here guys... I don't hire people every day in Christchurch... but if I was about to spend $50,000.00 to $100,000.00 on a resource I'd want a bit more than 2 pages thanks!
