Unfortunately the working Windows box only lasted as long as the next 
reboot. The other Windows machine I have here can ping the Linux machine 
fine, and the two Windows boxes can talk to each other fine on TCP/IP. 
Strange, maybe I will try a new network card i the Windows box.
