By the looks of it they have the modem driver built fine ....winmodems are relatively easy to setup these days especially if the modem is compatable with the driver from heby.de ...the install script does it all automagically for ya ...only issue is getting the package onto the box with no internet :) Aside from Christopher's suggestion if you have kppp installed ,just fire it up and see if you can do a diagnostic check via the gui .....may just be mandrakes wizard doesnt play ball with non native packages .
