In my opinion it is an expensive toy, but worth it if you are no good with 
a soldering iron.  The provided programming environment is quite poor, and 
I would recommend replacing it with NQC (Not-quite C) or one of the others 
(Google is your friend).  For a Christchurch-flavoured opinion check out
