I would be surprised if DVD playing worked out of the box, as DVDs are encrypted and RedHat/Fedora seems to frown on distributing the deCSS library. I *think* the totem movie player is installed, so playing unencrypted DVDs may work. I will try it out tonight.
As for CD burning, it has worked out of the box with all other versions of RedHat that I used, so if it did not work out of the I would be surprised and disappointed. I have not burnt anything yet as I have nothing to burn :) > Are the fonts okay? Glorious. The default fonts are anti-aliased TrueType fonts from the Bitstream Vera family[1]. > If you don't mind, I would love to get a screen shot or two of, lets say, > your favourite mail client I do not have a network connection at home, so I have no email client :) > word processors in action :-) And those who know me can testify that I loathe *all* word processors :) As far as screen shots go, it looks much the same as my Debian box: a GNOME using the Vera fonts. I could post a URL to a screen shot of this box now! If you insist, I will see what I can do tonight and post a URL to a PNG of my FC2 desktop tomorrow.
