Yes, don't use netscape 4. It's got so many holes in it, using it in
security-related areas (like browsing, email) is a bad idea(TM)...
It's perhaps unable to handle the javascript. Perhaps list messages
contain problematic attachments. I take it you have java
turned off - enabling java in any browser is inviting the burglars for
dinner.

mozilla is getting reasonably good as a browser, though konqueror has
the better user interface but doesn't render some pages properly.

If you're only interested in yahoo mail, you're probably better off to
use a proper mail program instead of a web browser.
