Still done nothing about getting a record player, although I noticed that Dick Smiths are selling a record desk inc. preamp unit for under $200. Obviously aimed at the vinyl -> mp3 market!
Forget the quality, look at the price! Hrmmphhh <mumble>, my cartridge alone is worth many times that.
But I've only got a handful of records I wanted to copy. So it didn't seem worthwhile spending the money ...
I'll catch up with you next week, we'll sort something out.
