Nick that's what I thought too, but when I burnt the CD no sound on playback?? KSCD plays it but shows the CD title as (something like)"..debian Woody binary File..." The unrecorded .wav file plays fine (although still a bit scratchy, even after applying filters) in xmms but has no sound after the record I've tried it several times and tried playing on the diskman as well, so fairly sure I've eliminated bad burn/bad disk etc. I was wondering if it is a problem with kernel 2.6.7 and my CD writer etc. so I'll reboot and try 2.4.7 -- cheers................dave G Mail to: "[EMAIL PROTECTED]" ____________________________________________ KMail 1.6.2 & Kontact - KDE Desktop 3.2.3 SimplyMEPIS Linux - Kernel 2.6.7 (i686) ____________________________________________
