You said the site you wanted to test was new and on the intranet, whichThe web site in question is europe.taitworld.com (it is a public site if you are curious and want to have a look). We are actually moving closer to having our public sites standards compliant (W3C standards, that is). That will take some time, but hey, we are not moving into the IE direction.

didn't say your site only works in IE, nor did you say that it works in
every browser. I was just thinking about what the testing might
involve, based on the info so far available. Looking around the
internet, it is not unreasonable to assume that usability testing only
involves IE, unless otherwise stated.
And a personal note: I’m a Firefox user. I use it 99.9% of the time, and 50% of my browsing happens at home, on my Linux box. I feel a bit deflated when a fellow GLUG member suspects that I’m guilty of developing MS-only, gismicky and Flash-y sites ;-) Perk up, Volker, there is a lot of momentum out there, towards standards compliant sites :-)
