Time....one of the key reasons for asking these questions in the first
place. I too have limited time and therefore seek not necessarily the
easiest option but an easier option in assimulating knowledge quickly and
efficiently. I liken my situation to that of a drowning swimmer:

Here I am drifting in a river out of my depth looking at a group of
swimmers discussing swimming techniques on the riverbank. As I watch them
discuss the ins and outs of my swimming technique I begin to ask myself:

Are they trying to test me with some kind of initiation ceremony?..they can
hear me and have offered verbal assistance...
How long will they wait until one of them helps to pull me into the shallow
water where I can at least get a footing?..or will I go under forever before
I have learnt to implement their swimming advice.
If I do infact drown is it because I am not a good learner, are the
instructions offered by the swimmers insufficient given the circumstances;
or were the swimmers at fault for holding the swimming event in the first
place?

Would make another good intro subject for Newbie..

I enjoy (and trust you all do) open discussion on this topic.
