Dear Mr Vatsala
I am instructed by the team at CLUG in relation to the email referenced below. The email in its ordinary meaning implies that the good folk at CLUG have deliberately and maliciously attempted to break the SuSE installation on your "Made for Windows" NEC laptop, and that the same good folk are in fact secretly working in league with Microsoft and other agents of evil to the detriment of linux and other free and open software products and the users of thos products
Such statements are grossly defamatory of my clients. All of them are fiercely committed to linux and the free/open software movement. They freely give their time and energies to helping all level of linux users in a co-operative community based open forum. Furthermore many of them work in the software industry and such statements could well have a deleterious effect on their business as well as personal reputations.
My clients instruct me that your defamatory comments have been broadcast to the hundreds of people on their mailing list, and that the comments will be permanently stored in web based archives over which they have no control. Such archives are of course searchable (and indeed archived again) through the many search engines on the web including google and yahoo.
As such the damage suffered by my clients.....etc etc

Vatsala, it is one thing to say "sorry that didn't work and X won't start any more, what do I do now?"
Its quite another to impugn a person's integrity because they suggested a solution that didn't work for you.
Get some manners or leave.

First try yourself, before expecting others to follow anything you
say. This forum needs some serious Linux heavyweights, to deal with those
trying to corrupt/destroy the system (such as in this case). No doubt
M#%$#soft have an interest in doing just that... (and it seems you're aiding
their interest in this regard). :$ Now SuSE won't boot up, or accept the
username and/or password... :$ What ya doin' Brad...? Tryin' to stop SuSE
from working, it seems... :$ Working for the agenda of M#%$#soft... :$ Your
advice has f&cked with SuSE. You must like trouble. Grrr... :$ Get a life!

Tempting to introduce the holy hand grenade at this point... or just a decent mailbombing?
Can I request, in an anarchical manner of course, that this idiot be removed from the list? I know this post isn't technical, but if we get a large enough show of hands here, then hopefully the listmaster who must be obeyed can take it as an official request.
Cheers,
Steve
