Can't help but wonder why you are reluctant to reinstall xp yourself?
Not that you'll be getting help here for it as such, but you certainly
will in terms of how to retain your linux install.

Luck of the draw with techie it seems...
Think I'll hold off potentially stuffing up my Linux with another XP install
for now and concentrate on getting up to speed with some of the Linux
software and remove the XP requirement by stealth.
