Well after trying DamnSmallLinux and feather and Mandrake I have finally decided that theres not much point in going any further until I can figure out how to set up the graphics card.
None of the above can launch Xserver. I really dont understand this. If I can get graphics while these things install, why cant I get graphics after or half way through. Doesnt it have to be using the graphics card in the first place to give me a graphical installation. I would have thought Linux would have a default somewhere. Steve, I dont think Knoppix will make any difference, but you are more knowledgeable than I. So if you think it worth a try then I would appreciate a copy. Regards Kelvyn
