Yeah, pity it doesn't work:
emerge: Command not found.

No, thanks, no need to, I have a pretty clear idea about gentoo. And
since you started the argument, your showing-off of the system yesterday
was hardly complimentory: your flpsed wasn't uptodate - what a laugh
from someone who braggs about his emerge-solves-all-problems-this-second
all the time!!! Besides, you may think bleeding edge is the hottest
thing since sliced bread, I'm unconvinced that bleeding is all that
desirable. Fine if gentoo has some advantages, if it suits you I don't
actually care. Chances are, it's substandard in other respects. :)

However, instead of embarking on yet another distro fight (grow up
Chris), you distracted from the issue I pointed out. We've had this
discussion about your crappy (to call a spade a spade) postscript, or in
this case, pdf, files before. Expecting everyone else to upgrade their
systems just to keep up with the bleeding geeks is, uhhhm, less than
smart.

Argue a convincing case that "the American" desktop is different than
"the European" or "the Kiwi" desktop, and why I don't want it. SuSE has
put tremendous effort into making a distribution which Joe Bloggs has a
chance of using, and which is presentable in a somewhat more corporate
environment. (The latter is where all of us are wishing to see Linux
established!) I don't see your gentoo having contributed anything
whatsoever in these two important areas.

Amused,

Volker

PS That was my fun-email for the day, perhaps we should continue over a
glass of $BEVERAGE off-list, lest we risk boring everyone else to death.

PPS Getting back on $SUBJECT, aren't there still some URLs missing?
