I am keeping my opinion in this case: a tool which touts its interoperability between systems and whatnot, and which produces output which doesn't even show up in the latest GPL version of ghostscript, is a pile of turd.
Either of which will give you a very full explanation of what's going on with Scribus' pdf exporting.
In short: all your other tools are f***ed, go away and get knotted, but don't bother us. Wow, what an attitude.
