Bash 2 lets you do things, the main purpose of that piece Solaris 7 ships as /bin/sh is making sure you can't do things. The same pretty much goes for a lot of the Solaris 7 command line stuff one typically uses from a script. Simply put, it's rubbish. Can't say that about the GNU ones. I don't think there is any week in which you don't read about some bigger php app on bugtraq. Nomen est omen? I'd be looking for python apps.
