Heck no, reiser had >2GB files donkeys years ago. The problem is
definitely wget, and I have the screenlog to show for it.

Ftp what with? No need to be secure, so I doubt anyone would bother with
scp on their server. Unfortunately not too many people have wised up to
rsync yet. As the file's in Europe, a quick test for the 2GB limit is
out... of course, local tests can be set up, but I was wondering whether
anyone already has a (non-gui) solution for ftp/http-downloads >2GB.
lftp is said to do it, but it's not user-friendly.
