Hmm. I'm not quite sure that I agree with the subject.

Imagine a world in which all was the same except everyone used Linux instead of Windows.

Sony would then be distributing a rootkit that hacked via one of several known vulnerabilities that permit a user logged onto a Linux system to gain root access, and failing that (assuming say a probably uptodate and patched system) would screw up that users account. (Creating a hidden directory, place it at the front of the path,...)

What I'm saying in this instance it was not Windows to blame, but Sony.

Admittedly Windows makes it easy for malware vendors such as Sony, but the malice is entirely on the part of Sony.

Hmm. The subject should be, "Be thankful for Creative Commons Licensed music, vote with your wallet."
