Yes I did. And I had already posted to the vmware support forum - no
replies yet. I have found a few other references to the same situation
I have but for GSX Server or other versions, the risk in following such
may be worthwhile.
I have actually had vmware running successfully once, with a functional
XP install. I installed a kernel patch, and bang, it broke! This view
comes from my reading of the Novell support page
http://www.vmware.com/download/modules/modules.html (or at least my
partial understanding of it - as best I can - is a little beyond me).
I suspect that rolling back that patch may resolve things, though that
is probably too simplistic a view, given the subsequent "make
cloneconfig" commands that have been run...
