Ubuntu.. fails the user test of being able to
connect to the Internet.
It's got a USB DSL modem, pppoa, and Ubuntu doesn't recognize that in its
basic form.
Does anyone have any experience with this problem? Any hints, ideas, files,
etc?
Does the PC have an ethernet port? Does the modem? If not, install both.
In the case of the modem, termination of current ISP account then
joining up (again? with Xtra) - to get the free modem which has an
ethernet port - may prove economical :)
