Is there a website of non supported linux hardware in NZ?

WARNING: This hardware limits you to one choice of software system. The manufacture does not support your right to choose.

Recently we purchased a brand new HP computer from Noel Leeming. I would have never done this in the past but I did it this time without question I was happy to support HP.

I expect everything in that box to be supported by Linux. I purchase everything else from DSE because they support Linux on as many of their products as they can.

While I agree with Steve that we are heading off topic a bit, it's been a while sense we've and a rant of this type on clug and I think that Easter is a very good time to be considering such issues.

Cheers Don

I think that this is drifting a bit off Wesley's original context here... which
was a trial of Linux to compare and contrast against Windows. It's failed the
first hurdle, as the working Windows hardware doesn't 'just work'. Spending
$120 to try something new isn't really an option.

My $0.02,

Steve
