Jim (and of course Carl),
This of course was a very funny thread.
I had no intention of really applying for anything, joining in on the
pisstake is always one of my favouriate activities (as everyone on CLUG
knows - no rude comments please!)
So yes of course I had assumed that 'they' would be aware of my some
what silly comments.
I've been looking around for some colocation space for a mate in
Singapore. I posted to the NZ Nog list a couple of weeks back.
It occured to me that e2media do this sort of thing as well so I thought
I might just give Carl a call as he was kind enough to leave us his number.
I, as everyone knows, haven't yet installed Gentoo and didn't get to
Robert and Nicks recent Mini Installfest dispite expressing interest. I
am of course now kicking myself (as if one mini-installfest is going to
make me praficiant in Gentoo - especially as I can't even spell
proficant properly!).
So anyway...
I call up Carl to quiz him about the colocation and just make sure he
was taking us all in good humour, got talking and am now considering
putting in an application as a great deal of my experience does
compliment what they're needing.
Carl did explain he was used to lists and expressed that he might just
put a breif response in with a bit more detail to calm Dilburt fans
(such as John).
WARNING TO THOSE WHO ARE APPLYING...
I did also get the inside scoop thou...
He might do a wee profeciancy test on you (and I am still laughing at
the results he's had so far)...
Those thinking of applying might like to consider that using VI to make
an empty file isn't quite what he's looking for. Also, if you're used
to having a Web Admin do your web server administration for you then you
might also stick to what you're doing... and 'Start', 'Run',
'Cmd<enter>', 'del' isn't the right command to remove a file.
So Jim,
Might just like to know how I delete those comments from the archives
now just in case Carls managers don't have the same sense of humour? ;)
Cheers Don

Have to look impressive at the interview... manual in breif case always
looks good.
Of course, seeing as the advert was posted to the list, don't you think
that they are aware of your comments? :-)
Always just be yourself in interviews; otherwise "someone else" always
gets the job instead.
