Another troglodyte - just what we need... mind you most of us don't like bright 
lights either (:

Welcome. You've got a fair range of skills ( and personalities! ) here, from 
ancient old g*ts like me 'n Chris who've been using Unix since the 80's 
upwards. If you need to convert from Solaris ( HP-UX, Irix, etc ), then I can 
probably help if nobody else can. You might wan to look at X86 Solaris in 
general, and OpenSolaris in particular... even the desktop's written in Java. 
Not that you'll ever get Wifi working.
