Then let's recap some of my posts earlier in the month, I ask a question, get a number of helpful response and also get sarcasum and posts telling me to 'go away' because I am posting from an XP based system... A system I might add, I'm using because some of the helpful assistance I got from this list actually *killed my running* ubuntu 5.10 system to the point where it was time to just upgrade hardware....

Now my choice would have been to keep using my existing system for posting (to avoid the flack) while I build a new system up and get it doing EVERYTHING needed....

Don,

The language being used lately has been getting a bit rough and I find that used in your posting yesterday offensive and it is not helpful to your project or to your business pursuits. You are being offered a lot of advice, accept it gracefully and sift it carefully, then query it if you do not agree.

with your experience you should know upgrading can often cause problems, especially if you go down a track from which you can not back out. It is always safer to do a new install on an empty ptn. Keep your working files elsewhere so you can access them from each of your bootable installs. Upgrading is not always the way to go, especially if your existing instal is performing ok.
