As far as I can see, if I have done things correctly, it would appear
that the new downloaded modem is version 8.31 which is what is already
installed, so I dont think that I will gain by building and installing
the new one.
As it appeears that wvdial is not in this mepis program I have looked at
downloading it to try it out, but wasnt sure which version I should down
load.
At the moment I have downloaded version wvdial_1.54.0_1.1_i386.deb ......
Have I got the right one to work with Mepis 6 ?? I have also downloaded
all the instructions on how to install it so hopefully I might even be
able to get that right as well.
