No, it's just that I spent ages getting kppp going in Debian 3.0 a while 
back, and it shouldn't be so hard!!  Mepis was refreshing, in that stuff 
'just worked'.  I have not been impressed with Ubuntu or Kubuntu (either of 
the previous two versions) and it's frustrating to see Vik (and others) 
still fiddling about with it.

Still, Vik implied he would escalate this problem to Kubuntu, so maybe it 
will get fixed.
