Hello Alan,

       Could you get the log file and send it to me it is in the /root 
directory and named root-ppp.log or something similar may be root-kppp can't 
remember.  The other thing we need to find out is how to disable the Gaurddog 
firewall just to see if that is causing a problem. ppp error 10 refers to ppp 
not being able to negotiate a suitable protocol, so may be as others have 
mentioned pppd and kppp might need to be removed and reinstalled.
