ROFL! Nortel are a huge company, they will always come off as arrogant peddlers of closed technology if you look at it through the rosy glasses of the OSS community. But, doing a simple risk simple business risk assessment rules out many OSS solutions (not just talking about the pbx issue) because there simply isn't the business know-how and structure to back up the gee-whizz coolness of making a 3 line PABX work on a hacked PS2 running from a bunch of potatoes soaked in Coke-a-cola (tm).
