Hi all,
I would like to ask if anyone locally has a working system
similar to below before I try mailing lists overseas..
Googling has not helped.
We have had standard A4 duplex laser printers for years (HP,
Lexmark and now Kyocera) which print from Linux systems.
We default everything to duplex and our current machines all work
We have recently got a Kyocera 9520DN with a DF71 finisher/stapler
on it. It sings, dances and can almost make the coffee :-)
but for us, it only does this on Windows. It "works" for me in the
same way as the other smaller printers do......A4,duplex
(which are set in the machine)
I would like to use the A3, single and dual stapling,
hole punch features, unset the duplex and so on..
We are running Fedora Core 4 at the moment(FC6 when it comes out).
The various applications produce different print screens
(firefox/thunderbird are paper size only, Acrobat lets me
change a lot - but not stapling)
I can always try the following command line (from the adobe line)
lpr -P r206 -o OutputBin=Main,PageSize=A3,Duplex=DuplexTumble xx.ps
BUT nothing changes. It still prints to the default bin with
default A4 and default duplex.
Has anyone else got a souped up printing machine that they can get
different results from than mine with Cups (or anything else)?
Frustrating that point and click on the Windows driver works
and not on Linux :-(
Pete
