And here is precisely where all the live CDs fall flat - Knoppix isn't
so good any more all of a sudden... ;) They do have their use of course,
but not here. Use the network if you can (as suggested). The SUSE rescue
system (on any bootable/install disk) CD/DVD can be taken out of the
drive after boot, but still doesn't include burning software. I have
drilled up the SuSE 9.2 one and added cdrecord/growisofs and others, if
you're interested. Needs about 85-95MB RAM to boot! This thing is always
in my toolbox.
