The only problem is with X failing after an upgrade. He doesn't have windows installed. I guess he could be someone who lives with no net access at all, but that seems unlikely. So why not assume that his internet access actually works? This whole converstion is getting pretty stupid. The man obviously has problems with communication and with the command line. He needs a visit, pure and simple. Why are we going off at tangents? Either someone can go and visit him or they cannot. "Put up or shut up" I say. I don't have the time (although I have been and visited plenty of newbies in the past), so I'll shut up. Thanks.
