Hi Guys, just my 10c or less as it's none of my business :-)
Having had a look at most of the websites for the other NZ clug's
I have the impression that things are possibly fairly quiet
in the world of the Linux revolution?
What has changed IMHO is that the multiple easy installs of Linux eg
Ubuntu and the like have gone a long way towards the view that it now
MAINSTREAM and not that hard to use, perhaps lessening the need for user
support and promotion?
What is the target market of a CLUG? Is it the hardened pc savvy techy,
the home user, programmers, sysadmins or perhaps business owners?
Would some adverts on Trademe be more effective than print media,
reaching those already pc savvy, the potential turnout from some well
crafted adverts could be much larger than a newspaper advert or 2?
Would an advert for Free linux cd's or dvd's be more cost effective in
generating interest, it seems to have worked well for Ubuntu (Sponsored
by Canonical SA).

Michael
