There's no way that any *normal* disk array ( especially non 15krpm SCSI ) is 
going to saturate a 1Gb network - especially for a single client. I get about 
55MB/s read from my raid 5 server, so 10Gb is pointless, as well as being 
extremely expensive. A large io buffer ( hence the 4GB mem suggestion ) may 
possibly flood it, but even the 120+MB images mentioned elsewhere in this 
thread will take less than a couple of seconds at worst to load.
