I've having issues with 8.04 hanging on a compaq nx9010 lappie. seems to be an issue with the Broadcom WiFi chipset, from reading the ubuntu forums it seems I'm not the only one.

My cry for help on the ubuntu forums:

Quoting Kerry Mayes <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>:

I had a few issues which, compared to the last upgrade, is rather
small - though tedious.

1. Apparently I have "Plucker" installed. This doesn't upgrade and
you have to uninstall and reinstall (or in my case just uninstall).

2. vmware's vmware-config.pl fails to build the packages it need under
HH. I still haven't resolved that one - hopefully a patch for it will
come out soon.

3. The gnome-rdp database is corrupted or just incompatible with the
latest version.

4. For some reason the performance of synergy has been affected.

But the new applications are slicker, still gets my vote.

Kerry.

The "what's it like" is the upgrade went exceptionally smoothly.
