Your printer definitions are probably a bit to cock now you're running on a 
different subnet. IIRC you can set up the IP address of the hp 2600 from it's 
menu - tedious but it works. First step is to print out the config and see what 
IP it's on. What I do on a small network is to number

PC's etc
192.168.1.1 upwards

Printers etc
192.168.1.100 upwards

Comms devices
192.168.1.254 downwards

but that's just me!

Once you've set it up ( ip address, netmask = 255.255.255.0, broadcast = 
192.168.1.255 ) you should be able to ping the printer... then you can update 
your printer definition and it should work. I don't use any HP's any more, but 
the hplip software is supposed to be pretty good these days (:
