Hi Steve,
many thanks i have got the laser working and printed the document i need
to get out today.

i am trying to understand what i have done. My summary so far.
When the network packed up, I re-set it from 169 numbers to 192 numbers

I am assuming that this then meant that 169 numbers would no longer be
accepted by the hardware?

I set the laser to 192.168.1.101, and immediately it was back on line.
However the Photosmart I had to set to 192.168.100.102, subnet
255.255.255.0 as it would only allow 3 number groups.

i am still having trouble reaching this printer, and now can no longer
ping it?
Any thoughts?

regards chris Thomas
