Umm! as you have been told 2.4 is a few years old now. I have experienced what you have seen and sometimes I have had to do a re-install and that worked. One thing, are you booting from cd or floppy, if cd try a floppy boot to install. I also ahve recently tried to install 2.4 and LTP on a very new computer and was unable to as drivers etc were not available and it did not recognise the newer hardware. 3.1.1 was the only option. However it is also getting old and Calder do not issue update rpms, nor do they nowadays offer any support. I am in the throws of redoing all the rpms for 3.1.1, as there is no hope that Caldera will. As for any versions after 3.1.1 I would not hold my breath. -- Keith Antoine (GANDALF) aka 'skippy' 18 Arkana St, The Gap, Queensland 4061 Australia PH:61733002161 Retired Geriatric, Sometime Electronics Engineer, Knowall, Brain in storage _______________________________________________ Linux-users mailing list - http://linux-sxs.org/mailman/listinfo/linux-users Subscribe/Unsubscribe info, Archives, and Digests are located at the above URL.
