I went ati radeon 8500. I'm still struggling with drivers. However, for the
typical stuff... it's light years faster than my old Matrox. Xine never worked
better.

I tried one of those volcano thingies... It weighed like 5 pounds and sounded
like an f16 waiting for clearance from the tower...

Yeah. At first brush I was amazed that people actually did this... water in a
computer. But after fooling around with my f16 and a couple of different fans...
I was ready for anything. Once you actually get around to installing the
hardware, it becomes apparent that it's a pretty reliable mix of hardware. I
opted for a Gemini water block, RIO 800 water pump, 5 gallon tank, 5 gallons of
distilled water, two bottles of water wetter and a bit of 3/8 and 1/2 tygon
tubing. All in all, I spent about the same on the water cooling hardware
that I did for heat sink and fans experiment.
My next trick will be to find a cheap, tall, tower style computer case and
enclose a radiator made from a GM Chevette heater core. I hear that they work
very well and are very compact. :')
Cheers.
