That's a real message discovered in my gmail settings this evening.
It's so important that google chose to leave it there, in case I got
suspicious that I was missing *some* email (not all).

If your cloud provider doesn't feel you need to know something, they
won't tell you. You don't get message logs. You can't call them for
help. You have no effective guarantee of service, because you can't
measure them in the first place.

Yes they're handy. But I still run my own MXs -- I just use google as
a convenient front-end/search system, which usually works.
