I use Google Mail simply because it's more or less totally hassle free. I use email solely for personal letters and chat with family and friends.
I tried their IMAP service for a while about 2 years ago & found it to be pretty ho-hum. However if I was using email for business, I would no more use a server over which I did not have total control than fly over the Moon. _Particularly_ one which could be snooped into by either a minion of the USA government, or indeed someone else. -- Sincerely, Christopher Sawtell
