I understand that you are in the currentley in the process of earthquake 
repairs. If you are contemplating new layout for bradband connections and data 
within the house now is ideal time to do something as the builders are likely 
taking off wallboards and doing stuff in the roof and underneath the house.

Installing conduit and flushboxes while the wallboard is off is orders of 
magnitude easier.
